At the Wellington Koo Institute for History, we believe in the power of solid research and consideration of all possible sources/evidence in order to form independent ideas and opinions for a better world.

  1.  Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (b. 1832-1888) that first appeared in 1868/1869 and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain (b.1835-1910) first published in 1899.
  2. A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Writings by Charles Dickens (b. 1812-1870), first published from 1835 to 1854, and a 35.page or so book also on Christmas in German published in 2023, Der alte Mann und der Bär: Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte by Janosch (born in Poland as Horst Eckert, b. 1931- ).  
  3.  Deutschland: Ein Wintermärchen by Heinrich Heine (b. 1797 in Düsseldorf-1856 in Paris), first appeared in 1844 and Deutschland. Ein Wintermärchen by Wolf Biermann (b. 1936- ), first published in 1965.  

Notes for Readers & Viewers

Image above: Oil painting by Dong WANG painted in August 2024 when she was still fighting a three-year "war" then in order to comprehend the COVID-jabs' injuries and restore her "original" "overly" good health. She finally got it, and is doing well starting January/February 2025.
